We don't have "Arthritis".
We have Autoimmune Arthritis diseases.
Many sufferers will tell you most people in their lives do not fully understand the pain and disability they experience due to these conditions. Many people, unless they know a person suffering from autoimmune arthritis, do not understand the severity of these diseases, including the fatigue, fevers and illness that is often associated with these conditions. We vow to work towards a day when a person sufferering from Rheumatoid Arthritis or Psoriatic Arthritis or any other autoimmune arthritis condition can say "I have Autoimmune Arthritis" and someone in the general public does not respond, "Oh, me too! I have pain in my knee, ibuprofen helps a lot!" Someday we hope they all understand the difference.

Advertising and Media.
The Awareness Hotline-Media. We watch for misleading information that confuses "arthritis", or common wear and tear arthritis, with "autoimmune arthritis", or publications/broadcasts that provide improper information about the diseases.
If you see an ad or read an article that you feel is misleading regarding autoimmune arthritis, please fill out our Awareness Hotline-Media form by CLICKING HERE.
The Medical World.
Awareness Hotline-Medical. It is important that patients that are being treated for Autoimmune Arthritis diseases are experiencing positive interactions with knowledgeable staff. From doctors offices to clinical trials, it has become apparent that not all those treating patients with Autoimmune Arthritis actually understand there is a difference between these diseases and common "arthritis". We will be launching this second Awareness Hotline in the Fall/Winter of 2011.
